Now this is a holiday that is really worth taking some time off for. Started in 2004, Go Skateboarding Day is held every June 21st as an opportunity for skateboarders worldwide to go skating, have fun and maybe even skip some work (go to school kids, you have the whole afternoon off…).

This great day was started by the International Association of Skateboard Companies (IASC) and last year there were supposedly over 2.5 million media impressions dealing with this theme alone and most likely this year will easily double that amount. So get out there and have a good session on your board, I’ll be having fun in our local bowl!
