Some contests seem to have just gone past my noticing in the past few years. I do have to admit that i have been looking out for vert and bowl contests more. The Simpel Session contest series has been around for seven years and 2008 will start out with a bang from January 25th through the 27th in Tallinn, Estonia as a long list of the world’s top street skaters (and BMX riders) arrive to show their skills on the brand new contest park especially designed by Nate Wessel and it will be built by Sessionramps. Rick McCrank’s new éS pro model shoe, the Avers has received another new look and this time through a collaboration with Girl Skateboards which presents the Girl logo on the side panel and a repeated éS and Girl logo pattern on the footbed. The entire shoe was said to be inspired by his good friend and graffiti artist, Lee Matasi (RIP). It’s a good looking shoe (well talk about being impersonal here!) if you like to brownish/orange look. The Avers is also available 4 other color series.

Team riders Rick McCrank, Justin Eldridge, Danny Garcia, Bobby Worrest and Silas Baxter-Neal skate through Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom and Poland, where they visited the town of Czestochawa to shoot an ad for Rick and visit Take éS to Your Spots! contest winner Lukasz Winter.
