Europeskate skateboard news round-up April 3rd 2008

Steve Caballero has a personal blog giving us all a look at his normal day to day life going by the name “Have you seen him?” (hope that rings a bell…). He’s quite active on the site as well and you get to find out what he does besides skating. Fun read about another skater I’ve always looked up to.

April Fools Day gave some websites the chance to mess around a bit with our minds. SkateDaily.net http://www.skatedaily.net/ put out a “press release” announcing that they had been bought up and they were expanding into different sports. The Skatepark of Tampa was sold as well April 1st and enjoyed belonging to the corporate suits finally. Ryan Sheckler sure has been getting a lot of slack lately but you would sort of have to expect it with the shows and ads he endorses. The Berrics told us who is really the Battle Commander at their park…not!

Ben Nordberg rides for for Blueprint Skateboards and is now getting Thunder trucks and Spitfire wheels through Deluxe. Check out the interview Crossfire did with him. http://www.caughtinthecrossfire.com/skate/interviews/6127

Poppalardo, JJ Rousseau and Alex Olson are not riding for Lakai and supposedly Bam Margera and Tony Hawk are not riding for Adio anymore.

Jerry Hsu gets his first pro shoe model with Emerica. Check out the launch party pictures at http://emericaskate.com/

The stylish French skateboard magazine SOMA has just released their 4th issue which is only available at selected skate shops for a lousy 1 Euro! Luckily enough the SOMA crew puts all of the old issues online for our downloading pleasure. Go and get issues 1 - 3 right here.
