Volcom In The Park Part 1 video

With the weekend just around the corner it’s a good idea to sit down and enjoy a few videos to get yourself ready to ride and trying new tricks. Volcom has just put up it’s first “In The Park” video which looks like they want to turn into something like a video series.

Sometimes good things have to receive a platform with which they can reach more people. Of course there are tons of videos these days with more or less good filming and lots of great skating. But once and a while a video clip hits the right spot and you get inspired.
This happened to me when I watched the latest clip from the Popills.com site – I honestly don’t anything about the people behind the filming or the site but they have a lot more goodies flying around on their site and of course on Mr YouTube…here’s the latest episode for you!

Good to see over the last few years how skateboard companies have made a huge jump with the usage of the internet to push their teams and products. It used to even be hard to find a site with up-to-date news.
Now you get all of the info on a regular basis from the companies, usually in the large flip or scroll formatted catalog look which lets us all see the latest from your favorite skate company. War of the Roses 2009 video footage

System Skateboard Mag – Issue 10 online

Almost missed out on reporting about one of my favorite online mags, straight out of Poland in both Polish and English – System Skateboarding magazine! And they have just reached the one year birthday mark with their latest issue 10.
This issue is a bit more personal, showing a lot of people most of us have never heard of and in the first half of the mag there’s not that much skating even. But as usual Mateusz has put together a solid mag which is always great read through to hear more about the skateboarding culture in another country! The Battle At The Berrics continues!

This was one mad week at the Berrics with the Game of SKATE battle getting better and better. My personal favorite was the fight between P J Ladd and Eric Koston. More strange things went down as well but you will be able to see for yourself – just so that you know, Steve Berra had to give up!

War Of The Roses 2009 contests

ahhh, how could I miss out on this info???? I just received the latest issue of Sidewalk Skateboarding Magazine yesterday and while flipping through it for the first check I came across the info that the fourth annual War Of The Roses contest series in Leeds and Blackpool is taking place as I am writing this!
Well, thanks to Mr. Internet I can catch up easily on some of the action. So here’s some of the arm-up action out of The Works skatepark in Leeds and today they’ll ripping Ramp City in Blackpool. More coming soon!
