Wednesday Skate Video Clips

It’s the middle of the week with only a few days to go until the weekend so it’s time to get three new video clips up on the site to make your day a bit more fun wherever you are and what ever you are doing.
Kicking if off is the always great Strange Notes spending some quality time in the amazing Epic Skatepark – no words necessary, just watch it here!
Packing a punch Billy Marks always rips, convincing with his solid runs and flowing style combined with a mad bag of tricks. Newly appointed to the Battle Commander at the Berrics, Billy shows us how to destroy a park – watch it all here!

Europeskate Pic Of The Day September 30th 2009

Rounding off another come and gone September and taking up the pace to start pushing the Europeskate Pic Of The Day series even more in the upcoming cold and dark months, I was sent in this simple but for me eye-catching shot from Coburn Huff out Fayetteville, Arkansas – yeah, this is right smack in the middle of the States and it also has a cool looking bowl / concrete landscape park (why the hell can’t we get one in a city the size of Hamburg, Germany?)
The shot was taken with a Nikon D90 and two Sunpak 555s on tripods left and right with some ebay triggers. The skater in the pic is Nick Gibson. Makes me want to skip work and hit the local DIY spots!

It feels like it was been years since I last put up an interview or check-out about someone that I did myself. Luckily enough I’m coming out of my lazy spell and the skate photography scene seems to have discovered Europeskate as a place on the web to go to and find some great skate shots and hook up with good photographers. Vans Downtown Showdown 2009 with Fuel.tv webcast

The Vans Downtown Showdown 2009 is back in the States about the European excursion to Italy and will be at the the Paramount Studios in California for another mad gathering of top pros and evil obstacles which will test the skills of the skaters involved to the max.
As usual us “normal human beings” can’t get in there and I would have to invest a fortune even if I could to get there. Once again, this is when the loved and hated Internet saves the day (or night hours for me in Hamburg, Germany) as Fuel.tv is putting it all live on the net with a webcast! Great stuff and you can win some serious prizes just for watching! There’s even a car up for grabs – you have to sign up right here for that AND, unluckily for everyone else, you have to live in the US of A to be eligible.
