Music Tip – Atreyu – Congregation Of The Damned
October 30th, 2009 / No Comments » / by Jonathan Young

Another goodie for all of those lovers of metalcore and loud guitars. The latest release from Atreyu entitled “Congregation Of The Damned” is just out and I’ll need a few more days to listen to it completely but I already like what I’m hearing. It does get here and there pretty close to pop-metal in some of the songs but I’m more than sure that the live shows will be something to catch. Right now there touring through North America.

Check Out Adrien Coillard and Doble Skateboards
October 30th, 2009 / No Comments » / by Jonathan Young

Never heard of Adrien Coillard before and Doble Skateboards just came up sometime on my skateboard related radar but after watching this video I had to look them both up.
Adrien Coillard is a 15 year old ripper out of Lyon France and when you watch the video you’ll see that if he sticks to skating, he’s got a bright future waiting for him in the skateboard circus. Doble Skateboards – well I knew I had seen the name somewhere before. The Globe Shoes team stopped by their new indoor mini-ramp recently while traveling through France and took it apart. They are located in Saint-Hostien, France and according to their website they’ve been around since 2003. I’m contacting them for more info – enjoy the video in the meantime.

October 29th, 2009 / No Comments » / by Jonathan Young
This is one part of the site which continues to grow well and it keeps me almost excited to see who’s going to send in some new great shots or where I can find some. Today Kerwin Groot (check out his other pics right here) gets the Pic Of The Day with this nice shot of Hein Schellekens doing a pivot to fakie at a spot in Veldhoven, Holland. It was taken with a Canon EOS 350D.

Pedro Barros on Pocket Pistol Skates
October 29th, 2009 / No Comments » / by Jonathan Young

Great to see good things coming to good people. Pedro Barros (interview with Europeskate right here) has proven in the last months that he is a skater to reckon with and that at the young age of 14!
Just this morning I came across a video which introduces Pedro to the Pocket Pistol Skates team – he’s still listed as an amateur but he’s got a board…anybody want to clear us up on this topic? I’m writing to Pedro and PPS today to find out. Whatever it is, good team to join with guys like Remy Stratton, Ben Schroeder and Lee Ralph! Enjoy the video!

Cliché Skateboards and the Résumé Book and Board Series
October 27th, 2009 / No Comments » / by Jonathan Young

Cliché Skateboards have come a long way since 1997 when Jérémie Daclin started the company up with just about nothing. 2009 and it’s a completely different ballgame with an internationally renowned team, top videos and expansion around the globe. Putting all of the history behind this amazing development is the brand new 320-page book entitled “Résumé“, written by Mackenzie Eisenhour and art directed by the ill Studio in Paris.
The high quality hardback book will be available this Christmas 2009 and around the same time a special limited series of seven decks will be hitting the market as well. Looking good and the future of this team as well – hope to get my hands on a copy of this book soon!
