Gerd Rieger, Marcus Mhueller and a few other people have done it again, bringing out another issue of Bailgun Magazine, issue number 5 to be exact. And it is yet again a nice piece of work, bringing together great photography and good, readable and interesting articles in 47 pages of PDF format – downloadable for both your computer screen and as a printed version!
This issue touches a tour through Belgium, showing the Brusk bowl in the middle of Belgium and assorted spots which are a must for pool skaters. A collection of still-life pictures from Sergej Vutec in Zagreb show off a different view of what skateboarding and life can be. Onwards we dive through the mag to a great report and a bunch of short interviews with skaters at the relativally new and plain awesome pool in Hagen, Germany which held one of the Quiksilver Bowlrider qualification competitions just this year.
This leads you on your trip through the realm of Bailgun to wonderful shots straight from the Quiksilver finals in Malmö at the Stapelbäddsparken concrete park of death! And to round off the good read you get an insight into the mind and style of the croatian artist Filjio.
Yes, I am biased as I know Gerd Rieger (who happens to be one damn good vert/pool skater as well – well, when he was young *hehe, sorry Gerd!) but this is really worth the read. It is currently only available in German, but an English version is around the corner. Grab your issue at the Bailgun website now!
