C1RCA Team Battle - Cradle Skatepark in Austria

Just when I thought the number of mails coming in dealing with new contests was slowing down, that’s of course when it’s going to really start up again. The C1RCA Team Battle will be taking place on July 18th, 2009 at the Cradle Skatepark in Brixlegg, Austria and the guys from Last Try Magazine are presenting this street and bowl contest. There will also be a best trick contest on the brand new rainbow rail over the water gap. 3000 Euros in cash are waiting for the best teams and the best tricks on the rail. Now that sounds like some good solid fun to watch or get involved with. So put together a team of three skaters and get ready for the this contest at the great Cradle park!

Today, May 1st, 2009 the Goodlands concrete skatepark in Vienna, Austria is hosting a contest with a lot of skate gear and some Euros up for grabs. Under 14 and over 14 groups are attling it out. Just hope their weather is as good as it is here in Hamburg! The park itself is really nice. Good smooth and fast concrete transitions and a nice deep vertical pool as well!

Check out how Jürgen Horrvarth, Stefan Atzl, Roman Astleiner, Roman Hackl and Gregor Schlierenzauer test the jump alongside real ski jumpers. Built To Skate 08 free concrete event

July 28th, 2008 / No Comments » / by Jonathan Young

Built to Skate 08 Austria

More DIY contests and events coming our way, this time from the Muckefuck Skateboard guys out of Austria. Last year they put together the first “Built to Skate” event in which spots are chosen and new concrete elements are created to make the spots even more interesting to skate.

This year 4 spots will be selected from the received suggestions and 30 bags of concrete will be used at each location to create something new. All you have to do is make sure your spot isn’t in the middle of a quite neighbourhood, take a picture of the spot and send it in. This looks like an Austria only contest but if new spots are made, why not? Sure is a good idea and it may get us all thinking to start more of these events everywhere!

All suggestions must be sent in by August 31th, 2008 to “info AT muckefuckskateboards DOT com

The event is being sponsored by Red Bull Austria and Quiksilver

Have a look at what took place last year in this video:
