Vert Attack IV in Malmö Sweden – January 30th 2010

As the vert fever continues to rage in my body and mind, great news out of Sweden has been announced: the Vert Attack halfpipe contest series will continue in 2010 with the fourth annual contest being held January 30th at the Bryggeriet Skatepark with 1000 Euros up for grabs – the money is definitely not any reason for being their, I expect to see loads of vert skaters from all over Europe turning up!

Freestyle Berlin event starts today!

After 14 years of successful events in Zurich, Switzerland the Freestyle.ch contest series takes over Berlin, Germany for three days from October 9th till 11th 2009.With over 110,000 dollars up for grabs in several different “extreme” disciplines (of course a halfpipe is in the mix) the chosen skaters will be putting up yet another show for the masses. And for all of us who can’t make it – Freecaster.tv will be broadcasting live from Berlin starting Friday evening, October 9th 2009 and you can watch it right here!
Rumble in Ramona videos from Thrasher

It was either being on the east coast at the AST Dew Tour participating as a top pro in another large sponsored event or on the west coast in Ramona, California for the “Rumble in Ramona” party event hosted by Creature Skateboards.
I’m no pro obviously but I know where I would have been this past weekend and the videos from Thrasher Magazine show just some of the action and names from the past and present having a lot of fun at this event.

The Crossfire 2008 Halloween Massacre party!

The guys over at Caught in the Crossfire website are up to organizing another big party event, this time for good old Halloween and it’s going by the name “The Crossfire 2008 Halloween Massacre“. So mark up November 1st, 2008 in your calendar as you won’t want to miss it!
And this is definitely going to be more than just another party. They have hooked up with Kerrang, etnies and Sidewalk Magazine to put together one hell of an evening. Fancy dress is of course abligatory and get your party boots on for 8 hours of fun. And just adding the cheery to the top of this cake, a 32′ mini ramp jam with special guest pro skateboarders from around Europe will be taking place starting at 8:30!
Make sure you get an earlybird ticket – there is NO guest list – they cost £12.50 and I’m sure they are worth every penny!
Skaters test the ski jump in Austria

Red Bull organized the possibility to get some skaters to ride down a ski jump in Austria this past summer. Check out how Jürgen Horrvarth, Stefan Atzl, Roman Astleiner, Roman Hackl and Gregor Schlierenzauer test the jump alongside real ski jumpers. Are they all getting ready for a European Mega Jump invasion??? We’ll see…
