Aaron Homoki 360s The Gap At Marseille
July 24th, 2010 / No Comments » / by Jonathan Young

Aaron Homoki made a stop with the Birdhouse team in Marseille, France a few days ago and – of course – made sure to hit the legendary concrete skatepark right next to the Mediterranean Sea which has attracted just about every top pro skater around. Following the steps of skaters no less than Omar Hassan and John Cardiel, Aaron flew over the main gap between the front flow area of the park into the second largest bowl with a huge 360 air!
If you’ve ever been there, you know how mad that is! Check out the Omar Hassan and John Cardiel videos as well to see how you can easily eat concrete trying this stunt…mad!

Check Out Adrien Coillard and Doble Skateboards
October 30th, 2009 / No Comments » / by Jonathan Young

Never heard of Adrien Coillard before and Doble Skateboards just came up sometime on my skateboard related radar but after watching this video I had to look them both up.
Adrien Coillard is a 15 year old ripper out of Lyon France and when you watch the video you’ll see that if he sticks to skating, he’s got a bright future waiting for him in the skateboard circus. Doble Skateboards – well I knew I had seen the name somewhere before. The Globe Shoes team stopped by their new indoor mini-ramp recently while traveling through France and took it apart. They are located in Saint-Hostien, France and according to their website they’ve been around since 2003. I’m contacting them for more info – enjoy the video in the meantime.

During the 90’s (yeah back in the good old days kids *hehe*) I travelled down to the Prado skatepark in Marseille, France at least once every year and usually with a bunch of concrete-hungry skaters going mad for a few days in the south of France, tearing up hotel rooms, skating all day and partying all night.
Here’s a video from this October featuring some unknown and some very well-known local skaters : Medi SALAH, Vincent GUISBER, Christophe GUIDONI, P’tit Vincent, Axel VOIRET, Julien BENOLIEL, Cholé BERNARD, and Guillaume MOCQUIN. Enjoy and make sure you stop by this park some time in your life!
