Theeve Trucks Adds One More To The Team

The list of top skaters joining the Theeve Titanium Truck team just doesn’t seem to end and the newst addition just confirms it: Johnny Layton has now joined the roster and skates along with Tony Hawk, Matt Mumford, Garrett Hill, Dan Murphy, Gareth Stehr, Chad Bartie and Ben Raybourn. Now I’m really looking forward to see which international riders get hooked up. Here’s a video clip from last year showing some of J-Lay’s board skills…

Theeve Trucks Team Adds Tony Hawk And Matt Mumford

Theeve Trucks which have been making quite a few big waves with the announcement of their new team members continues to do just that with their two newest additions: Matt Mumford and Tony Hawk. They join team mates Garrett Hill, Dan Murphy, Gareth Stehr, Chad Bartie and Ben Raybourn. As my curiosity about how the trucks actually skate is growing, I already contacted Theeve Trucks about testing but – understandably – they’ve got loads of work at the moment so I’ll keep my fingers crossed about getting to test them some day soon.

New Truck Company - Theeve Titanium Trucks

Well, we can’t actually call Theeve Trucks new as they have been around for two and a half years already designing new trucks which can match the pace of progression which skateboarding has taken on. And they sure are planning to try and take on the big skateboard truck companies with their titanium designs which as a material weighs in approx. 40% lighter than steel. Looking forward to testing some of these in the near future – check out what they have to say about their trucks:

“With the unique Titanium alloy blend used in the casting process combined with the 6/4 Aerospace Titanium axle, you get less chance of axle bend and a 40% weight saving over traditional steel axles. Add to this the fact all Theeve trucks come standard with Bones Hardcore Bushings you get probably the ultimate skateboard truck ever made.”
