Next featured photographer is Andrew Bibby out of Melbourne, Australia. He’s already bringing out some nice photographs at 17 years of age. Here’s what he had to say.
Who are you? Tell us a little bit about yourself (age, what you do in life, where you live)
I’m Andrew Bibby (pronounced bib-be) I’m 17 and doing my last year of high school. I live just out side of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and i skate and snowboard.
How did you get into photography, especially skateboard photography?
I got into photography for the bitches, hahaha. nah it was skating that got me into shooting, I’m not the best and I thought I’d help out mates get some stuff together.

What type of equipment do you use for your photos? (outside shots, night shots, indoor shots)
I use a Nikon D300 and a Hasselblad 500cm, I only recently switched from a Bronica SQ-a . I have 3 external flashes and pocket wizards to trigger those. I also have a bunch of 35mm slr’s and toy cameras i play with from now and then.
Do you have any special “tricks” which you like to use for certain types of pictures?
I like to cross prcess my film everytnow and then, just for a different look, usually if i can expect borig colours from a spot. Also a toy camera is always fun to use.

If you could get any new equipment for free, what would you love to have?
Really, a car hahahah. But for camera wise I’d like a 30mm CFi T* for my hassy and some lumedyne strobes. Maybe a Large Format setup to.
What is your opinion on post-processing, especially enhancing pictures?
Generally I frown upon it, but I dont mind what say volcom do to there ads. I also dont mind if it was down in the traditional darkroom. But the whole HDR fad, I hope that dies off soon.
