Grosso’s Loveletters to Skateboarding – Season 4 Finale

Jeff Grosso’s Loveletters to Skateboarding series is always a great watch. If you haven’t noticed it yet, Jeff just speaks what he believes and if you don’t like it, he doesn’t really care and that can be a good attitude especially in this world of skateboarding in which everybody and everything is equally hyped and dissed.

In the last episode of the Season 4 series, Jeff recaps what has happened in the last two years of recording the episodes – the father/son idea would have been great to see but understandably almost impossible to organize. And I have to agree with Jeff on his opinion about handplants (even though I can’t even do them myself – yeah, I suck!). It is great that everybody seems to be doing them but you barely ever see the good-old handplant stall on top anymore. I remember standing on the vert ramp in Konstanz, Germany back in the late 80’s waiting to ride and counting the seconds out loud when guys like Ralf “Pogo” Vogtsche or Thomas “Kellogs” Keller stalled their handplants. But nobody is beating Neil Blender…

Sit back and enjoy this final (?) episode of Jeff Grosso’s Loveletters to Skateboarding and let’s hope the producers are convinced to produce another season!
