Karol Plonski is the latest United Skateboard Photography Project member

The United Skateboard Photography Project keeps on moving forward in 2014 so let’s welcome Karol P?o?ski from Poland as the latest member, here’s his member page and several photos he’s made:

It would help the project loads if you can share the link, have a look at all of the members on this page (over 70 photographers now!) and share the links with anyone you know!

In December 2012 I began work on the United Skateboard Photography Project to support the Grind For Life organization which is a non-profit organization in the USA run by two-time cancer battler Mike Rogers, a cool guy with the right attitude in life doing good things for people with the support of skateboarding and friends.

The goal for the United Skateboard Photography Project was and still is to develop an online community for skateboard photographers around the globe and to create a 300 page hardback color book featuring 50 of the selected best skateboard photographers + interviews with several well-known top photographers who are willing to support the book print through their name.

The sourcing of photographers has been easy and loads of fun for me and getting some of the best photographers to support the project went a lot easier than I thought. Getting the funding has been an entire different story and after A LOT of emails, telephone calls, information rounds and meetings, the necessary financial support I was looking for through full-page advertising in the book was not exactly eagerly accepted – I had three pages from the 50 – 60 necessary to get the book printed and distributed. So that was not the path to follow.

Right now, January 2014, I’m back working on setting up the crowdfunding round and looking into new printing and distribution models to get this book made and sold so that 50% of the funds coming back in will go straight to the Grind For Life organization. I’ll keep you updated but in the meantime please spread the word about the project – word-of-mouth can only help and if you want more detailed inforamtion just contact me directly at info@unitedskateboardpp.com
