With so much going on in Europe this weekend I’m putting the events I have heard about all in one post to get a quick overview. If missed an event and I surely have, let me know! Here we go:
– The “Hang Up” vert contest in Horten, Norway is kicking off today, May 24th with practice sessions and tomorrow from 12 noon until 19:30 vert skaters will unite on a fine looking ramp for another great contest / session.

– Heading down south through Europe the Denmark-Germany internation skate match at the brand new Hamburg skatepark. Here’s the “official” event news:
The „Skateboard Länderspiel“ is not a serious country match or skateboard contest between Germany and Denmark. To honor the traditions of a soccer game all skateboarders will be dressed like urban players. A certain amount of disciplines like higest air, longest pool coping grind or the best manual combo will be held so one of the two teams wins and makes a “goal”.
A very, very serious referee team will be in charge to nominate the goals made 😉
Start of practice 14:00, Start of contest 18h CET
This event is part of an international gardening show. Regular entrance fee is 9€ from 18:00 – 21:30 (all day ticket: 21€ – yeah, it is steep!)
– The grand opening of the new skate plaza in Zürich, Switerland with 6.000 Swiss Francs prize money being thrown out for various best trick contests throughout the park.
– And we continue our journey even further south into France, to be exact to the city of Nimes which is located just northwest from Marseiille. There’s a laid-back music festival taking place – This is not a love song festival – along to go along with that a mini ramp has been set up with members of Antiz Skateboards, Cliche and Trauma ready to shred.
