Samu Karvonen joins Antiz Skateboards

Finland is a great country and if you have ever visited it, you know what I mean. The people are special and it takes some getting used to the way they show their emotions. 23 year old Samu Karvonen is a bit different than most of his fellow Finns and he skates great as well – now for Antiz Skateboards, check out his welcome video!

I’ve written a few posts in the past about the great idea the Bastard Clothing people had of building a wooden bowl ABOVE their store – and here’s another video showing the ANTIZ Skateboards team – especialy Samu Karvonen – enjoying a good session indoors. I’m checking the flight prices to see if I can afford it. My wife is cool, maybe it will work in November?

Julien Furones scores Rockers signature wheel

Julien Furones is an interesting character and one damn good skater. I was skating in the indoor park in Hamburg some time last year and he just turned up and shredded the park somehow…quietly. Sounds strange, but he didn’t put on any shows, just skated, slightly reserved and for hiomself. Maybe it was the language barrier but actions speak louder than words and it was pretty obvious for me that this guy has some serious skills.
Amazingly enough – wow, I can see when someone can really skate – I was right and now I know how good he really does skate. The Antiz Skateboard pro has now gone a step further and hooked up with the sound guys from Rockers Hardware to get his first pro signature wheels in 53mm size and 99a. Support him is all I can say or just buy them right here… And if you want to see why, check the video below…that’s why!

The Antiz Skateboards team has been really busy lately getting out those videos, touring and more so they have been attracting my attention pretty much. I don’t know exactly what it is but the team just looks relaxed and they are having fun – put it together and that’s skateboarding for me.

The Eastpak Antiz Hobo Tour video

10 skaters on ten scooters for ten days in Spain with just the bar necessities and a skateboard. What’s that sound like? Yeah, a lot of fun and chaos. The whole concept came together this past summer with the Antiz skate team supported by Eastpak and here’s the summary of the trip on video with some pretty raw skating mixed in there!

Antiz Skateboards hit UK shores September 9th-12th

Antiz Skateboards team riders will be heading over to the UK for a short tour of three stops including Central Skatepark in Manchester September 9th, the Ideal Skateshop in Birmingham and Blackpool’s Ramp City on the 12th.
Aaron Sweeney is on the roster as well (I have to find out what’s going on there, he’s just on the receiving end lately for sponsors, but with his talent it’s no wonder…) as skaters like Dykamns,Furones Hugo Liard, Julien Bachelier and surely a few others. Don’t miss them…
