“The tree continues to grow, continually embracing the landscape of skateboarding, and the lifestyle that surrounds it, always respecting it’s deepest roots. From team riders to advocates, product to marketing; Element’s mission is to lead not follow, and leave an imprint deep enough, that it continues to make the world a better place.”

Skate videos to start the week off
August 31st, 2009 / No Comments » / by Jonathan Young

Monday morning here and I’m sneaking in a few videos for you to watch in your work break, at school or where ever you are.
Getting it started is a bumpy and simple video edit of a Supreme mini ramp session in New York with Eric Koston, Zered Basset and others – watch it here and no, they’re not on the team, they’re skating the Supreme ramp!
Head on over to the Woodward East camp/park and check out Chris Cole, Billy Marks and Tom Asta with the usual unusual amount of flip and slide magic…it keeps looking easier everyday.
And to round off this morning’s quick peek into only a few of the Internet’s latest video offerings, Element Skateboards welcomes Bjorn Johnston to the (Australian) team – watch him rip it right here.
Elements Make It Count – Chapter 1 WIND
August 4th, 2009 / No Comments » / by Jonathan Young
MAKE IT COUNT is a four-part documentary, which showcases Element’s defining moments and delves into its compelling story. From its humble beginnings, to a forward thinking global brand, this film covers two decades of stories and imagery.
In creating Chapter 1 of 4, “WIND” Kirk Dianda (director) followed Johnny Schillereff (Element founder & president) and dug into his history, interviewing the very people that have shaped his life and the company. The opening and closing sequences give you a small taste of the diverse community of people interviewed for the entire project, topics covered, and nostalgia that was un-earthed.
Each chapter of MAKE IT COUNT will be released on the 1st of each month:
WIND – August 1st, 2009
WATER – September 1st, 2009
FIRE – October 1st, 2009
EARTH – November 1st, 2009
