Converse pushing back into skateboarding
November 11th, 2008 / No Comments » / by Jonathan Young

A brand new site with a skateboard oriented blog and the announcement of Nick Trapasso as a new rider for the team – Converse is getting really serious again about it’s involvement in skateboarding. Not that they weren’t serious but this is an obvious move in the marketing department to let us potential buyers and shoe wearers know that Converse is part of skateboarding.
The Converse team already has some serious skill under it’s belt including Raymond Molinar, Sammy Baca, Ethan Fowler and Anthony Pappalardo. And the new 2009 line of shoes is looking pretty good…

November 3rd, 2008 / No Comments » / by Jonathan Young

Yeah yeah, I know and I don’t care – all of my news the beginning of the week is old, moldy and out-of-date. Naaaaa, not really, just not as new as usual. But it doesn’t make the last two episodes in the Epicly Later’d series with Ethan Fowler any less fun to watch, he’s got some mad stories and history behind him. Check them out right here, episodes 5 and 6…

Ethan Fowler – Epicly Laterd – Episode 1 of 5
October 16th, 2008 / No Comments » / by Jonathan Young

The next Epicly Later’s show is up and running with Ethan Fowler in it. So what’s happening in this first episode? Here’s what they have to say themselves:
Today we take a Mild Ride up and down the California coast. Originally this tour was going to be from Costa Mesa to Long Beach on Segways but that didn’t work out (Segway wouldn’t sponsor it). But this tour was still one of the top three tours I’ve ever been on, and it was my first time ever on a motorized two-wheel vehicle. It was honestly life changing. I am totally hooked. I’d like to thank RVCA and Vespa for making it happen. And someday I hope to own one of these 250Cc badass hogs.
Ethan Fowler is next on Epicly Later’d

It looks pretty much like Ethan Fowler is the next up on the Epicly Later’d series following the slightly new style of storytelling in the latest part with Gino Iannacci. I hope some how it goes back telling more about the skater and less about everything around the skater. It is my personal opinion amd yeah, I did like the other documentary videos more than Gino’s…
We’ll see and leave your opinion as a comment….want to know what you think about the video series.
Epicly Later’d coming back with Season 2
July 16th, 2008 / No Comments » / by Jonathan Young

That’s right everybody…one of my favorite video productions will be back in September 2008 with a new series of videos getting behind the scenes and into the heads of well-known skaters with some intelligent questions and filming that takes on a different perspective. Here’s the “official” announcement – why try to put words in their mouth when they can speak for themselves. And make sure you watch the teaser with Gino Iannucci further down in this article:
“It might seem like Epicly Later’d is turning into VBS’s Chinese Democracy, but rest assured this is not the case. We promise your patience will be rewarded in September with a fresh batch of all new episodes. Yes, there will be Gino Ianucci and Ethan Fowler, but we will also have Lance Mountain, James Kelch, Brian Anderson, Beauty and the Beast Tour, and more shit with Lakai team than you could possibly ever want. So everyone who ever doubted that there would be Life after Cardiel can now log back onto the Slap Message Board and post that they were sorry they ever doubted Epicly Later’d. And for those of you who believed, thank you.”
Ethan Fowler starts up Bummer High Skateboards
June 23rd, 2008 / 1 Comment » / by Jonathan Young
The moves and changes in skateboarding seem to be flying in here pretty quickly in the last few weeks. I don’t know any background information about this one so take this one as a rumour for now but it seems Ethan Fowler is starting up a new board company under the name “Bummer High” after he left Foundation Skateboards. No team member names, no dates, only the website and a blog which stopped in April being blogged. I’m trying to contact them for more info so stay put, more coming your way.
