I caught up with Max Prause the other day while he was pushing his day job at Harbour Distribution – knowing how good he skates I asked him if he was up for an interview with Europeskate et voila: here’s a bit of Max Prause’s life for you! 10 Tricks With Chris Haslam

First I found the 10 trick video with Ben Raemers yesterday (watch it here…), then the mail arrived with the Kingpin Skateboarding Magazine with the Ben Raemers interview which was quite nice and while doodling around on the web today I came across this video with none other than the man on the front cover of the Kingpin Mag this month, Chris Haslam, enjoying his time in Germany at exactly the spot on the cover. And it looks sooooo much “nicer” on the video than the spot really is…Chris destroys it and makes it look so damn easy. Like his German as well…10 tricks with Chris Haslam, enjoy it. Shot by Mark Nikels by the way…

T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds 2009 - Berlin Final Results

The crowd in Berlin at the Velodrom seemed to be asleep during the T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds street contest but that didn’t bother the skaters. I still have to get used to the head-to-head contest runs but after all the skating the Europeans took the first three spots with 15-year old Axel Cruysberghs continuing his winning streak and taking home the win.

36 year-old Danny Mayer (yeah man, old men vert skaters!!!) kicked some ass, threw in a mad kickflip McTwist and was able to beat the strong competition for the win. Renton Millar who has some of the best backside ollies and the highest madonnas I have ever seen won the entire World Cup Skateboarding Tour 2009! Videos coming soon…

Final Vert Results:

1. Danny Mayer
2. Adam Taylor
3. Pierre-Luc Gagnon
4. Renton Millar

Final Street Results:

1. Axel Cruysberghs
2. Alex Mizurov
3. Louis Taubert
4. Chris Haslam

No better way to spend a Sunday – especially being sick still with this damn flu which is not going away. But that’s my problem – enjoy the show, can’t wait for the vert contest!

T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds December 6th 2009 in Berlin, Germany

You want to be there? Win 2 tickets for all of the action? Nothing easier than that: simply send a mail with your complete name and complete address with the subject “I want tickets” to the following email address by December 3rd, 2009 – 12 o’clock noon GMT: freestuff@europeskate.com

Rounding the year 2009 up is one of the biggest events in Germany taking place in Berlin, Germany on December 6th at the Berliner Velodrom – the T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds. It is the final of the 2009 World Cup Of Skateboarding World Tour in both street and vert competitions and the list of top skaters from around the world is more than mad (Axel Cruysberghs, Rodolfo Ramos, Alex Mizurov, Adam Dyet, Chris Haslam, Bastien Salabanzi, Pierre-Luc Gagnon, Sam Beckett, Jürgen Horrwarth, Alex Perelson, Danny Mayer and loads more!)

On top of the skating there’s the BMX street and vert competitions which are more than fun to watch and the bands which will get the crowd dancing for sure this year (German killer band Deichkind, Blumentopf from Munich and the Puppetmastaz).

And if you don’t win you can get tickets at all German ticket agencies and on www.t-mobile-playgrounds.de

German COS Street Cup Finals 2009 On Video

The German COS Street Cup Finals for 2009 took place a couple of weeks ago at the Skaters Palace in Münster, Germany and for the third time in a row Yannick Schall took home the win and was crowned German Champion 2009. Louis Taubert took second and Christian Krause out of Münster took third place.

To see what the German skaters can really do, sit back and watch the video – we could of course discuss the music but I have better things to do!
