Real Skateboards Real Forever Decks And Mission Possible
December 9th, 2009 / No Comments » / by Jonathan Young

Getting harassed for skating spots – sounds familiar? Even worse when you are trying to land a trick for a photo shoot for an ad. Gabe Morford shows off his climbing skills with a little support from Chris Pfanner in the streets of San Francisco all just to get the right angle for Real Skateboard’s latest ad with Peter Ramondetta. Funny how sometimes the people who need to get exercise the most scream the loudest about how skaters are destroying everything. An I love Peter’s answer – “Oh really?” after the lady informs him there’s a ramp down the road *hehe* Click on the pic below to watch the video and check out Real Skateboards Real Forever deck line, I’ve got to get a Max Schaaf or Justin Brock deck somehow as it’s big enough for my vert fun!

The Deluxe Fall 09 Catalog Part 1 of 4 online
September 11th, 2009 / No Comments » / by Jonathan Young

Deluxe is back with the next edition of their online catalog for Fall 2009. Real Skateboards, Krooked Skateboards, Thunder Trucks, Spitfire Wheels and Anti-Hero Skateboards get a bunch of limelight in this issue. The old school video games from Real Skateboards are a great idea and truly engaging – smart idea to get people coming back for more, marketing genius! And the Real Gaming Experience deck series is an eye catcher – hope to get my hands on some of these. Lance Mountain shows off some of his art skills with the new Anti-Hero Skateboards Skull Series decks and – heck, click through it yourself, there’s so much to see, I’m not going to just write it all so click on the catalog cover below and enjoy!

Merchandising and marketing go hand in hand and the guys from DLXSF sure have come up with an excellant graphical means to push their skaters and products through one platform: an interactive catalog packed with videos. Really smooth and as usually a few hours worth of material to look at so have fun instead of reading this boring post

Real Skateboards throwaway video site
January 11th, 2009 / No Comments » / by Jonathan Young

This development in the skateboarding video arena has been showing itself for a while now: the trend towards bringing out ever longer and better video parts right on the internet and for free. The big companies can obviously use it more for their marketing pleasure while smaller skateboard companies or videographers will have to fight harder or just be even more innovative about their filming.
Where ever this leads, we all get to enjoy the freebies and Real Skateboards has put together a graphically pleasing site with video parts not destined for a full-length video. The Lost Days and Throwaways site already has 9 chapters of video – a must see if you are a fan of the team.

DLXTV hits the web with team videos
July 9th, 2008 / No Comments » / by Jonathan Young
The main company behind the brands Real Skateboards, Krooked Skateboards, Spitfire Wheels, Thunder Trucks and Anti-Hero Skateboards not only bring out the largest online skateboard catalogs I have seen to date, they have a web page dedicated solely to videos of their teams. The site already went online July 4th and has a good archive of videos to watch. They take a while to load but it’s worth the wait. You can also get downloads for your I-Pod or Quicktime versions of the videos as well.
A video of the brand new park in San Francisco is in their as well so take a look if it’s raining like it is here’s.
