The online photography book is going to be big…really big! But that’s fine with me as I love to have a lot of good photos to flip through and connecting with so many good photographers/skaters is loads of fun.

The latest Pic Of The Day comes from Erik J. Gustafson (check out his Flickr account here…) featuring a night time pole jam by taken with a Nikon D300 and a Nikkor 10.5mm fisheye. Simple as that…enjoy it!

I sat myself down this weekend once again to put my ideas for the online and print version of a Europeskate photography book featuring the photographs of our Pics Of The Day over the last years and things are looking good, maybe before Christmas?

While you have to wait, I’ll keep showing more of what the world has to offer in good skateboard photos. Today’s Pic Of The Day for October 19th 2009 comes from Pierre Stachurska (check out his Flickr account) with a incredibly well set-up capture of a fullpipe ride by Mads Christensen.

New footage from the Prado park in Marseille

During the 90’s (yeah back in the good old days kids *hehe*) I travelled down to the Prado skatepark in Marseille, France at least once every year and usually with a bunch of concrete-hungry skaters going mad for a few days in the south of France, tearing up hotel rooms, skating all day and partying all night.

Here’s a video from this October featuring some unknown and some very well-known local skaters : Medi SALAH, Vincent GUISBER, Christophe GUIDONI, P’tit Vincent, Axel VOIRET, Julien BENOLIEL, Cholé BERNARD, and Guillaume MOCQUIN. Enjoy and make sure you stop by this park some time in your life!

Bucky Lasek and the mad Bowl-B-Q video

I’ve seen one or two short videos with Bucky Lasek’s brand new backyard pool which really just blows your mind because of the sheer dimensions of it. This past weekend (October 10th, 2009) Bucky invited a bunch of skaters (Bucky Lasek, Andy Macdonald, Ben Raybourn, Bruno Passos, Bob Burnquist, Christian Hosoi, Sergie Ventura, Rune Glifberg, Jesse Fritsch, Chris Miller, PLG, and many more…) over to his house to try out the bowl in the first Bucky Bowl-B-Q and it went off…some of the airs are just off any scale and you really do not want to slam in this bowl.

Featured Photographer Chris Shields

It feels like it was been years since I last put up an interview or check-out about someone that I did myself. Luckily enough I’m coming out of my lazy spell and the skate photography scene seems to have discovered Europeskate as a place on the web to go to and find some great skate shots and hook up with good photographers. Chris Shields sent in a few pictures which I thought were great an there is no easier way to get an interview set up. Find out more about Chris right here…
