Decided to sleep in a bit today which means I got up at 8 instead of 6 in the morning – yeah, the early bird bla bla…you know the story. Doing my morning check of the various social networks, I found a video post from German vert/bowl skate rat Anders Tellen which catches some of the action at a vert demo during the Cologne Games Com 2009 in Germany with Tony Hawk, Juergen Horrwarth, Sam Bosworth and Renton Millar (filmed By Bob Joosten) – Hawk again doing the marketing tour for the latest video game RIDE.

The latest EA Skate 2 trailer and introduction movie for the Playstation 3 is out nowand it’s a who’s who of skateboarding today. Even if you are not a video game fan, take a couple of minutes to watch this and then check out the game trailer which is just great…anybody have a Playstation 3 they don’t need???

Video games have come a long way. I myself was only hooked way back when I was around 8 or 9, running off to the video arcade to play Defender or Joust…yeah, good old pixelated graphics for ya, I loved it.
These days the games are much more intense and like a dream come true we have all been able to sit indoors late at night and “skate” on a computer. Well, to be real honest I rather go skate than sit in front of a screen but the advances made in graphics and gameplay are insane. Here are the latest video trailers for the Skate 2 and Skate It games from EA…I may have to get a Wii for my son this Christmas as the controls look like a lot of fun!
