Vans Off The Bowl contest in Switzerland

Another contest and yet again in a bowl – this time in Lugano, Switzerland June 27th, 2009. Here’s the official news straight from Vans: After a successful first edition in 2008 in St. Gallen (CH), the “Vans off the Bowl”-Contest is taking off for its second round.

The new event location will be the skate park in Lugano. Vans Switzerland invites bowl skateboarders from Switzerland and its neighbour countries to participate and hopefully go home with some of the prize money offered. This year’s trophy is CHF 4000.00 / EUR 2700.00. Nixon is rewarding the bowl experts’ best tricks with an exclusive package.

The organiser emphasizes this event to be a platform for skateboarders to meet each other, skate together, learn from one another and most important to have a good time on the scene.

Saturday evening the Warriors Toga Party (Skateboarder crew from the Ticino) invites riders, judges, media, staff, spectators, etc. to share a few beers together.

The contest is open, no restrictions. Everybody can register on www.vans.ch/offthebowl. Further riders will be able to register on the spot before the contest. The inscription fee of CHF 10.00 / EUR 8.00 has to be paid on location, before the contest starts. This fee includes participation, food, beverages and one entry for the party in the evening.

3:00 pm – 5:30 pm qualifications
5:40 pm – 7:10 pm semi-final
7:20 pm – 8:00 pm final
8:00 pm – 8:30 pm nixon best trick
8:30 pm – 9:00 pm pricegiving
10:00 pm warriors toga party
